Curricula & Examinations

The school prepares its English Medium students for two public examinations conducted by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations. One is conducted at the end of Std. X and is referred to as the Indian Certificate of Secondary Examination (ICSE). The other occurs at the end of Std. XII and is called the Indian School Certificate Examination (ISC).

Syllabuses and examinations throughout the English Medium Section of the school are organised with the goal of these two public examinations in view. They require a high level of competence in English expression and a thorough grasp of principles. Students cannot cope with these examinations relying on a superficial grasp of subjects and on rote memory.

The Hindi Medium Section of the school aims to provide quality education to the children of our neighbourhood, whose parents are not employed by Bokaro Steel Plant or who, for financial and other reasons, would be denied the opportunity for such education. After regular instruction up to class VIII, they will be tutored for a year to appear for the National Open School Matriculation Examination.
